Doncaster Junior Football Club, a Soccer club based in Doncaster East, is excited to announce that registrations for Season 2024 are now open! The club, powered by Play HQ, warmly invites all parents to register their children for the upcoming season. To get started, all you need is a PlayHQ account, which you can easily create during the registration process.
If you already have a PlayHQ account from participating in other community sports such as cricket, basketball, or netball, you can simply use the same account for registration. For those who are new to PlayHQ, don't worry! The registration platform provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up your account.
For parents who have previously registered their children with us but are using PlayHQ for the first time, the registration process will guide you through claiming your child's player profile. This profile contains valuable historical data, including match tallies and registration history, which will be seamlessly transferred to the PlayHQ database. Rest assured, all player data from previous seasons has already been imported.
Now, let's talk about the registration fees. The fees vary based on age groups, with Under 8s, Under 9s, and Under 10s costing $300, and Under 11s to Under 14s costing $350. But that's not all! We also offer a sibling discount of 20% for those who register from December 1st, 2023.
Please note that the player registration fees cover the Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) fees, which are $188.95 (GST incl) for players aged 11 and above and $143.95 (GST incl) for players under 11. These fees help cover essential expenses such as umpires, medical officers, insurance, and league administration costs. Additionally, the DJFC club fees contribute to player and team supplies, ground facilities, and event administration.
To streamline the registration process, all players must complete their registrations and payments through the PlayHQ website. We kindly request that you do not submit paper application forms or make cash or EFTPOS payments, as they will not be accepted.
We cannot stress enough how important it is for all players who wish to join the Doncaster JFC to register. It is not only crucial for their health and safety but also a legal requirement for participation in the Yarra Junior Football League competition. We also encourage volunteer coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, and others in player contact roles to register as members, with no registration charge involved.
If a player has previously played at another junior football club and wishes to join us in Season 2024, a transfer is required. Rest assured, our club will gladly assist in submitting the transfer request on behalf of the player. To initiate the transfer process, we kindly ask that you send the player's full name, date of birth, the name of the previous club, and contact details via email.
Calling all coaches! Please remember that completing coaching accreditation for Season 2024 is mandatory before the start of the season. Accreditation obtained for Season 2023 will not be considered valid for Season 2024. To ensure compliance, coaches can complete their accreditation through the AFL coach's Accreditation courses. Detailed information regarding enrolment and accreditation for Season 2024 will be made available from late November or early December 2023.
