Dorking Rugby Club, located in Betchworth, is a community-driven club that has been in existence since 1921. With a rich history and strong traditions, Dorking RFC is considered one of the leading rugby clubs in Surrey.
The club boasts a total of five senior teams, including a rejuvenated Women's section, catering to players of all skill levels and ages. In addition, the club has a thriving youth and Mini section, which consists of over 600 children. This section is further divided into Junior (U18-U12), Kids First (U11-U5), and Girls Sections, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to get involved in rugby.
Dorking RFC's success over the years can be attributed to the dedication and hard work of its playing squad, as well as the support of its coaches, physios, supporters, partners, and sponsors. These combined efforts have resulted in unprecedented levels of success for the club, culminating in the Centenary year of 2021-22 in which the 1st XV was promoted back into the National Leagues after a hiatus since 2016.
Aside from its on-field achievements, Dorking Rugby Club is also known for hosting one of the largest rugby festivals in the country, the Dorking Mini Festival. This annual event attracts thousands of young players from all over, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and enjoy the camaraderie of the sport.
