DYC Netball, based in Melbourne, is a sports club that offers the youth in our community the opportunity to participate in organised netball and build life skills in a controlled and supportive environment. Founded in 1987 as part of the Doncaster District Community Youth Club, the Netball Club has since evolved to become a dominant force in both netball and basketball within the community.

Operating under the guidance of a dedicated Committee of Management, the club is nurtured and supported by a team of passionate coaches, team managers, parents, and numerous volunteers. We are proud to maintain a strong association with the Doncaster and Districts Netball Association, ensuring that our members have access to a competitive and fun environment.

At DYC Netball, we uphold a set of core values that are integral to the development of our players. We emphasise the importance of respect, not only for teammates and opponents, but also for umpires, officials, and the parents and friends who support our players. Sportsmanship is another key value that we instil, encouraging our players to embrace both victories and defeats with grace and appreciation for the game. We also foster a culture of passion and dedication, with the expectation that all our members give their best effort at all times.

Above all, we believe in the power of enjoyment and fun, and we encourage our players to approach every game and training session with a sense of joy.

As a Child Safe Association, DYC Netball takes the safety and well-being of our young members very seriously. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and have implemented robust systems to protect children within our club. We are committed to supporting and respecting children from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities or different needs. Furthermore, we create an environment where children can feel comfortable, cared for, and safe, and we encourage them to speak up if they ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Our training venue, Leeds Street Indoor Sports Centre, provides the perfect platform for our players to hone their skills, while our games take place at the Templestowe Sports and Recreation Centre, offering top-notch facilities for competitive matches.
