Energetic Kids Dance & Fitness is a vibrant and dynamic dance school located in Kelmscott, Western Australia. The school is dedicated to providing high-quality instruction in a variety of dance styles for children of all ages and fitness levels.

The aim of Energetic Kids Dance & Fitness is to produce confident students who can dance for pure enjoyment, as well as prepare them for a long and rewarding future in the dance industry. The experienced and dedicated teachers at the school prioritise technique, correction, and practise to ensure that students have a solid foundation of dance skills.

At Energetic Kids Dance & Fitness, students not only learn the technical aspects of dance, but also develop a sense of confidence and pride in their abilities. They have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the End of Term Parent Weeks and the End of Year Concert, where their hard work and progress are celebrated.

The school offers a range of classes to cater to different interests and ages. The Adult Jazz Class is a fun and energetic class that teaches a variety of jazz styles, from 80s classics to the hip hop music of today. Participants learn to move, turn, kick, and leap their way through enjoyable routines, with the ability to work at their own pace and tone and strengthen their bodies. The Adult Tap Class focuses on the art of tap dancing, offering a great way to improve fitness and coordination.

For children, the Tiny Tots Dance Class is designed for 3-4-year-old children to develop confidence, coordination, and musicality. The Junior & Advanced Junior Dance Classes teach both jazz and tap, with children being placed in classes based on their age and experience. There are also Classical Dance Classes that teach the art of classical ballet, and Acrodance Classes that focus on acrobatic dance skills in a safe environment, helping students develop strength and flexibility.

The school's experienced teachers have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the dance industry. Janine Tjerkstra, with over 20 years of teaching experience, holds a Teaching Diploma and is certified in Fitness and Acrodance Instruction. Karlie Agius is an experienced dancer and teacher with qualifications in Jazz Teaching and Personal Training. Bree Hartley brings expertise in music as a primary school music specialist, while also having a strong background in community theatre.
