Essence Pilates is a sports club located in Melbourne, offering high-quality Pilates classes for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. With a focus on developing the body uniformly, correcting postural imbalances, and restoring physical vitality, Essence Pilates aims to invigorate the mind and elevate the spirit, just as Joseph Pilates intended.
At Essence Pilates, the classes emphasise strengthening the core, back, abdomen, and pelvic floor muscles, providing a comprehensive workout that targets the entire body. Mat Pilates classes incorporate the use of various small apparatus such as bands, rings, weights, foam rollers, and mini balls, which add an extra challenge to the workouts and engage both the body and the mind.
In each class, participants are encouraged to work according to their own body's strengths while being part of a supportive and motivating group environment. The workouts aim to stretch, strengthen, and tone the entire body, with a particular focus on the core and pelvic floor muscles. Through Pilates, individuals can improve their overall strength, enhance their muscular tone, and realign and rejuvenate their bodies.
Essence Pilates is conveniently located at the Heimet House Community Centre, situated at 125 George St, Doncaster. The club offers group mat classes that incorporate small apparatus, such as Thera Bands, weights, Pilates rings, Pilates balls, and foam rollers. Term 2 of 2017 runs from Tuesday, 18th April to Saturday, 1st July, and multiple class options are available throughout the week. Classes are held on Tuesday mornings (9.
15 – 10. 15am for all levels, 10. 15 – 11. 15am for beginners), Thursday evenings (7.
00 – 8. 00pm for all levels), and Saturday mornings (9. 00 – 10. 00am for all levels).
Casuals are also welcome, and individuals are advised to note that there are no classes on public holidays.
The instructors at Essence Pilates are highly qualified, with the necessary certifications and qualifications to deliver outstanding Pilates classes. They hold a Diploma in Pilates, Certificate III in Fitness, and Level 1 Mat Pilates, ensuring that clients receive expert guidance and support throughout their Pilates journey. Additionally, the instructors have completed First Aid – Level 2, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
