Chris Akin invites all cricket enthusiasts to join Failsworth Macedonia Cricket Club, a cornerstone of the community since the early 1900s. The club is conveniently located near The Willow Tavern, perfect for a post-match social.
Chris ensures a vibrant club atmosphere with annual BBQs, meetings, and winter indoor nets starting in February at Failsworth sports centre. The club's two teams compete in the Greater Manchester Cricket League (GMCL), featuring Saturday 45-over games in Division 4 East and Sunday 40-over matches in Division 1. Both teams also participate in Tetley's cup games.
Membership is straightforward: £25 yearly for adults, £10 for under-18s. Match fees are £8 for adults and £4 for juniors. These fees support ground maintenance, insurance, and official payments.
