At Four Ponds Fishery, organiser Mark has created a prime fishing paradise in the heart of Devon, UK. Known for its carp and coarse fishing, the fishery spans 12 acres of peaceful countryside.
Mark has designed the venue with three distinct lakes. The Carp Specimen Lake, a 3-acre water, built in 2005, features diverse underwater terrain with depths from 5ft to 9ft, perfect for bivvy fishing. With 60 impressive carp ranging from 15lb to 34lb, and many over 20lb, anglers regularly pull in 30lb-plus beauties.
The Kingfisher Coarse Lake, covering 1.25 acres since 1970, ranges from 4ft to 8ft deep, is teeming with carp, Ghosties up to 19lb, and a healthy perch population, making it a hotspot for coarse fishing enthusiasts.
Tench Lake, another favoured spot, is stocked with tench, roach, crucians up to 3lb, bream up to 5lb, rudd, and golden rudd, offering a tranquil fishing experience away from modern life's hustle.
Four Ponds is conveniently close to Bampton and Dulverton, providing amenities like shops, banks, pubs, and restaurants. Nearby, the scenic Exmoor and its dramatic coastline add to the fishery's attraction.
Mark prioritises fish health with a Carp Bio Security system. Only supplied JRC nets, slings, and mats are allowed, and anglers must treat hook holds with Klin-ik or Medi Carp to prevent disease.
