Fun2Move offers a unique and tailored approach to fitness and movement for children with special needs, such as autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, and learning difficulties. Located in Avondale Heights, Melbourne, Fun2Move was created by an Occupational Therapist, Personal Trainer, and Primary School Teacher, all committed to making exercise and fitness fun for kids of all ages and abilities.
Fun2Move sessions focus on introducing kids to exercise through engaging fitness games and drills that help build core strength, balance, agility, and endurance. Additionally, these sessions aim to enhance basic sports skills, such as throwing, catching, bouncing, and hitting. The environment is low-pressure and supportive, allowing kids to play, explore, and learn physical and social interaction skills.
The team at Fun2Move works closely with families and allied health providers to ensure that every child gains new skills, confidence, and a love for movement. The ultimate goal is to help kids lead healthy, happy, and active lives. The team behind Fun2Move, Pep and Ania, combine their expertise in Occupational Therapy, Primary School Teaching, and Personal Training to create a family-friendly atmosphere that promotes fitness and fun. They are dedicated to providing children with a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive.
Fun2Move offers group sessions with a maximum of 4–6 participants. This small group size ensures that each child receives individual attention and does not feel overwhelmed. The sessions are held at Avondale Stadium in Avondale Heights, but online sessions via Zoom are also available for one-on-one sessions.
In addition to fitness therapy, Fun2Move also specialises in helping kids ride bicycles without training wheels. Their experienced trainers have helped numerous children transition from four wheels to two wheels in as little as one session.
