GCRA Ltd is a patient-led charity founded in 2002 by three cardiac patients. It initially focused on establishing and running Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise classes in Grampian. Over the years, the programme expanded to include generic exercise classes for patients with various long-term health conditions.
To date, over 2000 individuals have benefited from participating in GCRA Ltd classes. The programme currently offers 39 classes throughout Aberdeen City and Shire, covering an area of over 2500 square miles. GCRA Ltd is fully affiliated and insured by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, a registered charity (SC033331).
