Hatha practises are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit.
Yin Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practise – bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures. Yin and Yang are the Taoist concepts which describe the two relative qualities present in everything.
Yin is more internal, passive, cooling and downward. While Yang is more external, dynamic, warming, and upward.
I love to start with a more active practise working on the (Yang) muscles and blood flow, building strength, stamina, and flexibility. And move then to Yin Yoga, a slower practise where poses are passively held for longer, working on the deep, dense (Yin) connective tissues and joints in the body. Combining the practise with concious and deep breaths to balance mind and soul.
Try your first yoga class, do some stretching, deepen your practise or just get a good amount of positive energy and vitamin D with us.
