G M YOGA, based in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, is led by Gabriella McMahon, a dedicated and experienced Yoga instructor. Gabriella is a member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and holds various qualifications, including a CYQ Diploma in Teaching Yoga, Level 3 certification in Anatomy and Physiology, and Ante and Postnatal Exercise.
Before becoming a Yoga instructor, Gabriella worked as an Executive Assistant and Events Planner in the City of London. However, her love for keeping fit and practising Yoga led her to pursue a career change. She underwent teacher training with YMCAfit and started teaching Yoga at gyms and fitness establishments.
In 2015, Gabriella began teaching local classes in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, alongside her day job. Due to high demand, she eventually left her day job and opened her own Yoga studio, G M YOGA, in August 2016. The studio quickly gained recognition and was awarded Yoga Instructor of the Month by Global Heath & Pharma Magazine in April 2017. It was also voted one of the top five best yoga studios in Buckinghamshire in the January 2020 edition of Bucks Free Press and in the Muddy Stilettos awards in 2022.
In October 2023, Gabriella made the decision to semi-retire from teaching Yoga and moved away from Bourne End. However, she remains passionate about sharing her knowledge and love for Yoga. During the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, Gabriella's creativity sparked, and she invented and designed a new Yoga accessory called the Yoga BandTM. She launched an online shop, www.
yogabandshop. Com, in October 2023, which has become a new venture for her.
While Gabriella now dedicates more time to her new business and family life, she continues to teach Yoga classes in Bourne End/Wooburn Green, Buckinghamshire, and plans to start teaching in the Hambleden Valley area in January 2024. Her classes are known for their inclusivity and welcoming atmosphere, breaking down any intimidation factors surrounding Yoga. They are suitable for participants of all age groups and fitness levels, with adaptations always made to suit individual needs.
