Karatedo Club was officially renamed as Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Association Singapore (GRKAS) to reflect its broader scope and mission of promoting traditional martial arts. The association focuses on cultivating positive values, building character, perseverance, and integrity through karate training. Our instructors are dedicated to teaching authentic Goju-Ryu Karate-Do, with Sanny Yap sensei, who has been practising karate since the 70s, leading the way.

At the GRKAS Woodlands CC Dojo —, we offer classes that blend both circular and linear movements, incorporating hard striking techniques and soft open-hand blocks. Students progress through different levels of knowledge, skill, and spirit, indicated by the colour belts worn during training. Our grading system ensures that students are continually challenged and motivated to improve.

Our dojo is located at Kebun Baru community club, where we conduct regular classes for students of all ages and skill levels. We also hold special events and seminars, such as the recent kata seminar conducted by a senior sensei from Japan. These events provide opportunities for members to enhance their skills and connect with the wider karate community.
