The curriculum of the association is designed to strengthen both the mind and body of practitioners. Kids in particular gain confidence, discipline, and self-defence knowledge through training, while also forming lasting friendships. The training incorporates a combination of circular and linear movements, with a focus on hard striking attacks and softer open hand circular techniques for blocking and controlling opponents.
The association conducts classes in various community centres and private schools, with the main dojo located at Kebun Baru Community Club. Qualified instructors lead classes in authentic Goju-Ryu Karate-Do, with Sanny Yap sensei at the helm, who has been practising karate since the 70s.
