About
Can walk into Haven and feel completely accepted and valued regardless of my body size or shape. The Haven Wellness Fitness & Yoga Studio in Summer Hill is not your typical gym. It is a refreshing and inclusive space that promotes body positivity, self-compassion, and overall wellness.
At Haven, they take a weight-inclusive and Health at Every Size (HAES) approach to fitness and yoga. The focus is not on weight loss or changing your body, but rather on cultivating a peaceful relationship with your body through movement and self-care. There are no judgments, no diet culture, and no pressure to conform to societal beauty standards.
The studio celebrates body diversity and welcomes individuals of all body types, ages, and backgrounds. Whether you're tall or short, big or small, black or white, young or old, tight or flexible, Haven values and embraces you just the way you are. It is a safe, warm, and inviting space where everyone can feel comfortable and supported.
Haven offers a wide range of classes and services, including yoga, personal training, fitness and dance classes, and exercise physiology. From slow and restorative yoga to dynamic and energetic workouts, there is something for everyone. The compassionate and knowledgeable trainers at Haven take the time to get to know each member and their individual needs and goals. They design customised exercise programmes to ensure safety, effectiveness, and adaptability.
The studio is also LGBTQ+ friendly, welcoming all women (cisgender and transgender), non-binary individuals, and gender diverse individuals who resonate with Haven's values and ethos. In order to maintain a safe and inclusive community, newcomers are invited to meet over a cuppa to ensure that everyone who visits supports a welcoming atmosphere.
If you're looking for a fitness community that is free from diet culture and toxic gym culture, Haven is the place for you.
