HidLea Stables is a welcoming and safe environment for individuals looking to learn horseback riding in the Troy area. Located close to Waterdown, Ancaster, Cambridge, and Brantford, HidLea Stables offers casual riding lessons to children and adults, focusing on fun, social interaction, and safety.
Riding lessons at HidLea Stables start with a half-hour private lesson, which includes grooming and tacking in the barn with a helper available for assistance, followed by a half-hour private riding lesson for $50. Lessons are available for beginners to advanced riders aged 8 and up, with the goal of transitioning to group lessons once the student can ride safely in their private lesson.
Students are required to wear long pants or tights and boots with heels for lessons, with comfortable tops and layers recommended. Lessons run weekly from September to June, with flexible scheduling to accommodate seasonal changes. Payment options include paying in advance for a few lessons or paying per lesson on the day, with cash, cheque, or e-transfers accepted.
HidLea Stables kindly asks students to provide at least 6 hours notice for cancelations, especially during winter months when weather conditions may affect lesson attendance.
