HOURS frequently organises a variety of events and workshops to engage the community. One such event is the “Current Scattered Perspectives: Documents of Life,” showcasing experimental screen works by DW. This exhibition will be open on Saturday, January 27th, and Sunday, January 28th, 2024, from 3-6 pm, and admission is free.

For those interested in art and creativity, HOURS offers a tutored live-motion drawing workshop on Thursday, January 11th, from 7-9 pm. Priced at 20 per person, this workshop provides an opportunity to learn the art of capturing movement.

The space also hosts regular life drawing sessions on Fridays from 7-9 pm, with the next scheduled dates being January 12th and January 26th. These untutored sessions are open to individuals of all skill levels, providing a relaxed and supportive environment for participants to unwind and draw.

Upcoming exhibitions at HOURS include “fade” by Emma, an artist based in Bristol, who creates abstract works using pigmented plasters and sand. This exhibition will have a launch event on Friday, February 2nd, 2024, from 5-8 pm, and will be open to the public on Saturday, February 3rd, and Sunday, February 4th, from 11 am to 4 pm, with free admission.

Another exciting exhibition to look forward to is “Salad Days,” the first solo exhibition by emerging artist Sanni Pyhnniska. Showcasing a collection of original screen prints bursting with vibrant colours and rich textures, this exhibition will have a launch event on Friday, March 22nd, from 6-9 pm, with open viewing hours on Saturday, March 23rd, and Sunday, March 24th, from 10 am to 5 pm, with free admission.

In addition to visual arts, HOURS also offers training sessions and workshops, such as “Communicate with Confidence with Julia Cawte. ” This programme focuses on helping individuals improve their presentation and speaking skills to benefit their businesses.
