The Spring and Fall Cleanups are a great opportunity for members of the community to come together and give back to the environment that we all share. The event is set to take place on May 14th and October 14th, 2024, so mark your calendars!
Located just a short walk away from the Old Mill TTC Subway Station, the Humber River Paddling Centre will provide you with all the necessary equipment for the cleanup. From PFDs/lifejackets to paddles, boats, garbage bags, and gloves, everything you need will be provided.
Once you are geared up, the friendly staff at the Humber River Paddling Centre will help you launch your canoe onto the peaceful waters of the Humber River. You will have the chance to paddle to remote areas along the riverbank, collecting any litter that has accumulated.
After the cleanup efforts are done, all collected garbage will be disposed of responsibly at the Humber Location. It's a rewarding experience that not only helps keep the river clean but also allows you to enjoy a day out in nature.
