Humming Puppy Yoga Sydney is a unique and transformative yoga studio located in Redfern. As soon as you step foot into our studio, you'll notice the soothing and captivating atmosphere designed to elevate your yoga practise. Our aim is to provide an immersive and holistic experience through our bespoke soundscape called 'the Hum' that accompanies every session.
The Hum is a thoughtfully designed soundscape that combines digital and organic sound frequencies of 7. 83hz and 40hz. The 7. 83hz frequency, also known as the Schumann Resonance, mimics the natural vibrations of the earth, creating a grounding effect.
The 40hz frequency induces Gamma brainwave activity, which enhances focus, peak performance, and concentration. By practising yoga with the Hum, you can expect increased focus, a sense of calm, and an enhanced yoga experience.
At Humming Puppy Yoga Sydney, we believe in offering a diverse range of yoga classes that authentically reflect the experience of our teachers. Our classes incorporate traditional movement, breathwork, and meditation practises. Each class begins with setting an intention that invites you to cultivate a specific focus throughout your practise. We also incorporate pranayama (breathing practises), asana (physical postures), meditation, and the sound of Crystal Sound Bowls and chanting to ground, focus, and unite our community.
To ensure you have a comfortable and immersive experience, we provide all the amenities you need. Our Shala (practise space) is equipped with 39 well-spaced, closed-cell Manduka Yoga mats that are sanitised before each practise. Each mat setting includes two blocks and a strap for your convenience. Additionally, we offer blankets, bolsters, hand towels, and provide premium body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, straighteners, and shower caps in our luxurious bathrooms.
We also offer a complimentary towel service for your convenience.
At Humming Puppy Yoga Sydney, we acknowledge the origins of yoga from India and pay deep respect to the teachers who have come before us. We also acknowledge and pay respects to the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, who are the traditional custodians of the land on which our studio is located.
