Irish Shotokan Academy, located in Tullamore, is a welcoming and friendly gym that offers classes for both children and adults. The academy prides itself on creating a supportive atmosphere based on mutual trust and respect, under the expert instruction of Shihan Liam Gorman, a 6th Dan Shotokan practitioner.
The gym is also home to Hanshi Clay Worley, a highly respected 10th Dan Shotokan instructor. With a team of experienced and knowledgeable instructors, the Irish Shotokan Academy provides top-quality training in martial arts.
Classes at the academy are held at the Midlands Martial Arts centre in Tullamore. Children's classes run on Tuesdays from 6-7pm, followed by adult Purple/Black Belt classes from 7-8pm. Thursday evenings offer the same schedule, and on Saturdays, there is a mixed class from 12-1pm.
In addition to regular classes, the academy offers articles on self-defence techniques and tips, emphasising the importance of awareness and avoidance in dangerous situations.
