Island Sailing Club, Reading is located just South West of Reading, conveniently accessible from junctions 11 & 12 of the M4 as well as Reading town centre. The club is situated on a picturesque 35-acre lake, offering a serene and beautiful setting for sailing enthusiasts.

Safety is paramount at Island Sailing Club. They always have at least three race officials and one safety boat on sailing days to ensure the well-being of their members. The club runs RYA training courses to train members, offering a range of courses from RYA Level 1 & 2 to all stages of the RYA Youth Sailing scheme. The training is conducted by fully qualified RYA instructors who are club members, allowing them to offer courses at a more affordable rate than commercial schools.
Island Sailing Club is proud to have received National Lottery funding for various projects that improve the facilities for the benefit of existing and future members. With 2355 races run since 1975 and 2550 hours of sailing, the club has a strong heritage and a dedicated committee of nine members supporting its operations.
