JKA Shotokan Ireland is a renowned Karate Club Organisation located at 53 Aungier Street in Dublin 2, Ireland. With a direct affiliation to the Japan Karate Association Headquarters in Tokyo, the club practises traditional Shotokan karate, one of the most recognised karate styles in the world. Led by Technical Director Sensei Masao Kawasoe, 8th Dan JKA, and senior Irish JKA instructors, the club has overseen the technical development of its association for over 20 years. JKA Shotokan Ireland is also a member of Kawasoe Senseis JKA Afro Eurasia group within the JKA.
The honbu dojo, located in Dublin city centre, serves as the central training hub for the club, with additional clubs situated throughout the country.
