Jow Ga Kung Fu Surry Hills is a martial arts school and fitness centre located in Surry Hills, Australia. Since 1982, our school has been dedicating to training both adult and junior martial artists in the art of traditional Kung Fu. Our Kung Fu classes take place six days a week in our authentic Chinese-style Kung Fu Kwoon.

At Jow Ga Kung Fu Surry Hills, students have the unique opportunity to train directly under the guidance of Sifu Joshua Smith, who is the first disciple of the late Grandmaster, SiGung Randy Sullivan Bennett. Alongside Sifu Joshua Smith, our team of expert Kung Fu instructors provides top-notch training to all students.

Our headquarters is conveniently located in a historic converted warehouse in the heart of Sydney, on Foster St in Surry Hills. This spacious and well-equipped facility offers the perfect environment for all students to further develop their Kung Fu skills.

We offer a variety of Kung Fu programmes that cater to different goals and interests. Our programmes include self-defence training, fitness improvement, and the exploration of the 'Art of Kung Fu'. Whether you are a parent looking for a safe and stimulating after-school class for your child, or an adult wanting to learn Kung Fu or enhance your existing martial skills, Jow Ga Kung Fu Surry Hills is the perfect place for you.

In our Kung Fu classes, students have the opportunity to learn Northern and Southern Shaolin Kung Fu techniques, which have been handed down from Jow Ga's famous Five Tigers. Our curriculum includes both bare-hand techniques and traditional Chinese weapon sets, allowing students to experience a comprehensive Kung Fu training.

We also offer Kids Martial Arts classes that are specifically designed to help children develop confidence, maintain a positive outlook, and set goals for themselves. In these classes, boys and girls not only get fitter but also learn essential self-defence skills while having fun practising Kung Fu.

Additionally, Jow Ga Kung Fu Surry Hills offers training in the Ilustrisimo system of Kalis, a Filipino blade-based martial art known for its efficiency. Students of all skill levels can take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn this powerful martial art.
