Joyful Exercise Bearsden

Joyful Exercise Bearsden is a physical fitness programme based in Glasgow, Scotland. Founded by Selen Yilmaz, a professional ballet dancer and expat mom, the programme aims to bring joy, energy, and connexion to people of all ages and abilities.

Since its establishment in 2013, Joyful Exercise Bearsden, under the umbrella of Joimove Scotland, has been spreading joy in 17 countries across 4 continents. With 81 leaders and over 15,000 families involved, the programme has become a global phenomenon.

The classes offered by Joyful Exercise Bearsden are designed to get participants moving, joining in the fun, and feeling energised and connected. Led by Selen Yilmaz herself, the programme offers a variety of classes, including dancing, flow stretching, and ensemble rehearsals. Joyful Exercise Bearsden operates out of the Roman Catholic Church on Roman Road in Bearsden. Classes are held on Friday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The programme also offers pre-recorded classes online, allowing participants to access and practise at home. This provides flexibility for those who are unable to attend the in-person classes or want to supplement their training.
