Kilsyth Football Club has been an integral part of the local community for 100 years. Established in 1924 as a member of the Ferntree Gully-Croydon league, the club became a foundation affiliate of the Eastern Football League (EFL) in 1962. The EFL is known as the most professionally run metropolitan league in Australia.

Affectionately known as The Cougars, Cougs, or Killy, Kilsyth Football Club is located in the sporting hub of the outer east at Pinks Reserve. The team dons black jerseys with a red sash, representing their fierce and determined spirit on and off the field.

Kilsyth Football Club prides itself on being a vibrant, family-oriented club that caters to all age groups. Throughout the season, the club hosts the Kilsyth Auskick clinic for primary-aged children, introducing the next generation to the world of Australian Rules Football. Additionally, the club has a strong junior club, with teams ranging from Under 8 to Under 18, providing opportunities for young players to develop their skills and love for the game. The senior club boasts four teams mens under 19.

5s, reserves, seniors, and the 2023 EFL Senior Women's leadings, showcasing the club's commitment to inclusivity and success.

With a total playing strength of approximately 300 men, girls, and boys, along with their families, supporters, and members, Kilsyth Football Club is a thriving community. Over the course of its history, the club has earned numerous awards and achieved remarkable successes. As a club deeply rooted in the community, Kilsyth takes pride in hosting the EFL U9 & U10 Lightning topship each year, as well as staging EFL junior finals, further showcasing their dedication to grassroots Australian Football.
