Are you the owner of Kingfisher Boxing Club?

Located in Gt Yarmouth, Kingfisher Boxing Club has been a staple in the boxing community since its establishment in 1964. Registered with England Boxing, the club is a non-profit organisation that is Club Mark Accredited and fully insured.
The club's story dates back to 1964 when Freddy King and George Page decided to create a boxing club in Gt Yarmouth. The first meeting was held, resulting in the formation of the club committee consisting of individuals such as Freddie King, George Page, Duggie Dugdale, Roy Simmons, D. J. Hacket, M.
Allen, J. Gorman, C. Bacon, and J. Greenwood.
The club found its first home in a local fish house on Exmouth Road, the inspiration behind its name, Kingfisher Boxing Club.
One of the memorable figures in the club's history is Cecil Page, the son of George Page, who became the club's first boxer in 1964 and went on to have a successful amateur career. Cecil remained dedicated to the club even after his boxing career, alongside Charlie Jary, running the club for many years. The support of strong committee members, coaches, boxers, volunteers, and local businesses has been crucial in the growth and success of the non-profit boxing club.
Throughout the years, the club has moved to several premises, with six of them being former fish houses. In 1999, the current gym on Riverside Road was purchased, thanks to the efforts of the committee members and volunteers. This was a significant milestone for the club, as it became the first premises owned by Kingfisher Boxing Club, held in trust for the children of Gt Yarmouth. With continued support from the community, the club aims to thrive as one of the top amateur boxing clubs.
Kingfisher Boxing Club offers a variety of boxing sessions suitable for all ages and skill levels. Led by England Boxing qualified coaches, these sessions include junior boxing for ages 6 and above, intermediate boxing for ages 10 and above, and senior boxing for seniors and carded boxers. Additionally, there are mixed boxing circuit sessions open to all and a special open boxing class on Saturdays for all abilities.
