About

Welcome to Kiveton Community Sports Park! This football pitch in Sheffield is dedicated to providing opportunities for everyone to participate and succeed in sports, regardless of age, gender, disability, race, colour, or national origin. Please note that weekend opening hours may be subject to the availability of volunteers, so it is advisable to call in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

Kiveton Community Sports Park started its construction on January 25th, 2016, and was completed approximately 12 weeks later, officially opening its doors on May 15th, 2016. The primary goal of this facility is to ensure that as many people as possible can access it. The park is committed to creating an inclusive environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can get active and enjoy sports.

The facility specifications of Kiveton Community Sports Park are as follows: it spans a total area size of 79m × 52m. The spectator area is equipped with 4m high spectator fencing to ensure safety and optimal viewing. The playing surface consists of Lano 3G artificial tufted grass carpet filled with sand and rubber. The football goals are made of aluminium and are self-weighted and freestanding, with safety net hooks.

The park is also equipped with 8 × 10m columns of 200 Lux sports floodlighting for excellent visibility even during night games. FA artificial grass pitches are available for both community and match use. The goal nets are 4. 5 mm white braided polyethylene with a 120 mm mesh.

Kiveton Community Sports Park takes pride in its photo gallery, showcasing the joy and excitement experienced by players and visitors. The park is grateful for the generous support of its sponsors, including Harsco, Key Fund, Power to Change, Sport England, and Inspired Facilities.

The mission of Kiveton Community Sports Park is to challenge and change the existing barriers that prevent disabled individuals from participating in sports. The park firmly believes that there should be no limitations for those who wish to access and use the facility, especially groups that are currently underrepresented in sports.

In September 2015, Kiveton Community Sports Park received a significant investment boost of nearly half a million pounds. This funding allowed the park to replace the old tarmac sports facility, which was in dire need of repair. After three years of hard work by the development trust, the dream of a state-of-the-art all-weather sports facility became a reality. The park is grateful to its main funders, Power to Change and Harsco Steel, as well as other contributors to the facility's development.

The vision of Kiveton Community Sports Park is to provide the community of Kiveton, Wales, and the wider area with a sports facility fit for the 21st century. To achieve this, the park collaborated with Burnell Briercliffe architects and Charles Lawrence surfaces, both specialists in the field. The result is a cutting-edge 3G all-weather facility, incorporating the latest advancements in playing surfaces.

Apart from the main pitch, the park also features multiple playing areas including a 9v9 pitch (73m × 46m), a 7v7 pitch (55m × 37m), and three 5v5 pitches (37m × 22. 3m) with pitch dividers. Additionally, there are eight goal recesses to accommodate matches of different sizes. The spectator areas offer a span of 79m × 4m, with 1.

2m high rebound spectator fencing for optimal viewing and safety.

Kiveton Community Sports Park is grateful for the support of its sponsors, Harsco, Key Fund, Power to Change, Sport England, and Inspired Facilities.
