KM Gym is a community-centred 24|7 gym located in Waikouaiti. The gym's mission is to inspire and motivate individuals to be the best version of themselves. Founded by Katrina McAra, KM Fitness & Nutrition has been improving people's health and wellbeing since August 2015.
Katrina McAra is passionate about sports and exercise, having played various team sports like volleyball, netball, basketball, touch, cricket, and tennis. She discovered her love for helping others improve their skills while coaching sports in high school. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Physical Education at Otago University.
With experience as a rehabilitation assistant, gym instructor, spin instructor, lifeguard, and personal trainer, Katrina brings a wealth of knowledge to KM Gym. She also worked as a sports coordinator at a local high school, fuelling her passion for helping kids. She even went on to become a secondary PE teacher locally and in London.
KM Gym offers a variety of memberships to cater to individuals' fitness needs. Whether it's a 12-month, 6-month, monthly, or fortnightly membership, there's an option for everyone. The gym also provides “The Works” membership, which includes access to all facilities and classes.
In addition to gym memberships, KM Gym offers various programmes to support members in their health and wellness journey. The Foundation Programme, Refresh Programme, Gut Programme, and Skin Programme are carefully designed to address different areas of health with the help of nutritional coaching sessions led by Katrina McAra.
Group fitness classes are another highlight of KM Gym. From casual group fitness classes to weekly and bi-weekly options, there's a class schedule to fit any schedule.
