Dan Tswei leads Krav Maga Cornwall, a self-defence school in Truro, UK. This dynamic school specialises in Krav Maga, a practical defence system originally from Israel, teaching techniques designed for real-world situations. Unlike traditional martial arts, Krav Maga draws from boxing and wrestling to equip individuals with effective self-protection skills.

Since its founding in 2010, Krav Maga Cornwall has gained recognition, boasting Europe’s first black belt CT707, awarded to Dan by Sgt Maj Nir Maman of the IDF in 2019. As a family-run club, Dan and his daughter Ellie foster an inclusive training environment, where camaraderie and mutual support are key.

Krav Maga Cornwall opens its doors to students of all levels and backgrounds, maintaining a balanced ratio of 60:40 men to women. Many start to boost self-esteem and confidence, leaving with solid self-defence skills and a renewed sense of personal power.

Beyond public classes, Krav Maga Cornwall has collaborated with the Military, Navy, local Police, women's refuges, safe homes for trafficked victims, and private security firms. This wide-ranging experience ensures classes are disciplined, intensive, and focused on personal safety.

What distinguishes Krav Maga Cornwall is their dedication to genuine self-defence. The techniques taught are practical and not about showing off. Both Dan and Ellie instruct every session, providing both male and female perspectives.

The instructors hold additional certifications in safeguarding and risk management, with Ellie receiving accolades such as Cornwall's 30 Under 30 and Self Defence MD of the Year South West in 2023.
