About
Simon, the organiser, wants to share some exciting news with the sports community about Lake 86 in the Cotswold Water Park, located in Cirencester, UK. With years of experience in selecting top-notch gear and keeping the environment safe, Lake 86 is a great spot for a hassle-free water sports adventure.
Simon mentions that Lake 86 has an extensive range of watercraft for hire, whether you’re into kayaking or paddleboarding. The team there has made sure you’ll get the best equipment for your chosen activity, all while being mindful of the environment.
Apart from equipment hire, Lake 86 also welcomes those who prefer using their own craft. They offer pay-as-you-go and seasonal memberships, allowing for unlimited access to the water throughout the season. Just book a 2.5-hour slot, bring your own SUPs, kayaks, or canoes and enjoy!
Lake 86's location is ideal for corporate team-building activities, activity days, and other group events, thanks to the stunning views.
For swimming enthusiasts, there’s a dedicated open water swimming area, which is perfect for training or just enjoying a long swim. Two triangular courses ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, separated from the hire section by a line of buoys.
When you arrive, the friendly staff will help you get started, providing buoyancy aids and a brief intro to your chosen activity. During busy times, they operate a wave system to ensure everyone gets their fair share of time on the water. Safety is key, so wearing buoyancy aids and following the staff’s boundaries is a must.
If you’ve got your own equipment, launching at Lake 86 is easy. Simply book a 2.5-hour slot, bring your gear, and have fun. They also offer an unlimited launch membership for the season, though they don’t hire out equipment, so make sure to bring your own, including buoyancy aids.
Simon invites everyone to experience this local paddlesport community, offering activities for all levels. Whether it’s a leisurely paddle, intense training session, or a fun day out with friends and colleagues, Lake 86 has something for everyone. Visit their website or get in touch to book your next water sports adventure.
