John emphasises the importance of the well-being of fish stocks at Lathom Fisheries. There are rules in place to protect and preserve the fish. Visitors need to familiarise themselves with these rules and have the correct equipment. The friendly staff and experienced fishermen are always available to provide guidance.

Located in Burscough, Lathom Fisheries offers a peaceful fishing environment away from the busy town. There's a large car park, toilet block, and disabled facilities for visitors' convenience.

For pricing, they offer OAP/disabled tickets at £6, pleasure fishing at £7 per rod or £12 for 2 rods, and matchmen tickets at £8 per peg. Full pond bookings for matches are available at £200 for Pond No 1 and £140 for Pond No 4.

They recently started a new stocking programme that includes larger mirror carp weighing between 20lb-23.75lb and smaller mirror carp between 4–6 inches. This ensures the lakes remain well stocked for a great fishing experience.
