At Laton Ash Dance Centre, we offer a variety of classes to cater to dancers of all ages and abilities. Our I. S. T.
D Ballet, Tap, and Modern classes go up to Advanced 2 level, providing students with a solid foundation and technical skills. We also offer Classical Greek and Stretch classes for those looking to expand their repertoire.
For adults who have always wanted to learn ballet or tap, we have evening classes specially designed for them. These classes provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere for adults to learn and enjoy the art of dance.
Miss Pauline is also a licensee for the RAD Silver Swans Programme, offering Classical Ballet classes specifically tailored for the more mature student. These classes are held in the mornings and provide a wonderful opportunity for adults to stay active and continue their love for dance.
We haven't forgotten about our youngest dancers! Our Little Steps class on Saturday mornings is perfect for 2 and 3 year olds, introducing them to the joy of movement and music. We also have Bigger Steps for 4 year olds, helping them develop their coordination and rhythm.
What sets us apart is the family-friendly environment at Laton Ash Dance Centre. Since our opening in 1974, we have welcomed generations of dancers through our front door. Our ethos has always been to instil a love of dance in all our pupils, regardless of their aspirations.
Located in Miss Pauline's own home, our studios provide a safe and comfortable space for students to learn and grow. Access to the studios is only through ringing the front doorbell, ensuring a secure environment for everyone. In case of any delays, children can wait safely with our teachers.
Our highly experienced and fully qualified teachers, Miss Pauline and Miss Donna, trained under the guidance of the wonderful Miss Phyllis Godfrey. With their expertise and passion for dance, they create a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for all our students.
At Laton Ash Dance Centre, we offer free trial lessons to all newcomers, understanding that starting something new can be overwhelming. Parents and carers are welcome to stay and join in or watch if their child feels a little anxious at first.
We are proud to maintain a 100% pass rate at consistently high levels in our annual I. D examinations, from Pre-Primary to Advanced 2. We also provide private coaching for examinations, competitions, and festivals, ensuring that each student receives individual attention and support.
