Every Wednesday, Calder Valley Swing, the local Contemporary Dance club in Hebden Bridge, hosts Lindy Hop classes at the iconic Hebden Bridge Town Hall. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in the vibrant world of Lindy Hop to join in the fun.
The best part is, there's no need for booking in advance, and you don't even need a dance partner! Simply show up on the night and pay at the door using cash or card (£6). It's as easy as that.
The Lindy Hop classes kick off at 7.15pm with an Improvers Class, designed to help those who are already familiar with the dance style take their skills to the next level. Following that, at 8.15pm, the Beginners Class begins, welcoming those who are completely new to Lindy Hop. So, whether you're an experienced dancer or a complete novice, there's a class for everyone.
But the fun doesn't stop there! On the first Wednesday of each month, after the classes, an amazing social dance session takes place right there at the town hall. So, you can continue to swing, dance, and let loose until the late hours. It's an evening filled with incredible music, exciting moves, and a fantastic atmosphere.
On the other Wednesdays, after the classes, participants can head over to Nelsons Wine Bar. It's the perfect spot to relax, grab a refreshing drink, and continue dancing the night away. So, even if you can't make it to the social dancing at the town hall, you can still join in the post-class festivities.
