Located in the Wirral, Lingmere Fishery is the leading coarse fishing club in the area. Whether you're a pleasure angler or a match angler, this well-run fishery welcomes all. There are two lakes available for fishing, each offering unique opportunities for anglers of all skill levels.
The match lake is open to pleasure anglers on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, but transforms into a dynamic space for matches on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. This lake boasts 32 evenly spaced pegs with consistent depth, making it perfect for net busting match weights. Anglers can expect to find hard-fighting carp in the 1lb to 15lb range, barbel up to 8lb, tench, crucian carp, bream, chub, silverfish, ide, and a sizeable population of F1's. Don't forget to try your hand at the fantastic barbel sport in the margins!
For those looking for a great day out fishing, the pleasure lake is the place to be. With depths of up to 6ft, this lake offers opportunities for both beginners and experts. Stocked with carp up to 26lbs, tench up to 10lbs, golden tench, ghost carp, perch, roach, rudd, bream, chub, barbel, crucian carp, hybrids, orfe, ide, and F1's, there's no shortage of fish to catch. Whether you prefer fishing tight in the margins, using match-style techniques at pole length, or targeting the overhanging trees on the island, there are endless options for successful fishing.
Keep an eye out for the elusive 'doubles' and 'twenties' hiding in the trees. During the summer months, surface feeding carp provide truly spectacular sport. In fact, the record weight for this lake stands at an impressive 186lb 6oz, caught in the summer of 2011.
Lingmere Fishery takes pride in providing a safe and enjoyable fishing experience for all members. To ensure the well-being of the fish and the environment, a set of fishery rules must be followed.
