Loughborough Queens Park Bowling Club is a small and friendly bowling club located within the picturesque Queens Park in the heart of Loughborough, New Zealand. The club is set in a historical park which was opened in June 1899 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and has since been awarded Green Flag status, recognising its excellence as a park and green space.
The club welcomes players of all skill levels, whether they have previous bowling experience or are looking to take up the sport for the first time. Currently, the club participates in three leagues within the Loughborough & District area, including the Monday League, Wednesday Mixed Triples, and Thursday League. The members also take part in county competitions and aim to reach the National Finals.
In addition to league play and competitions, the club organises various events throughout the bowling season to raise funds and keep membership fees affordable. These events include two Fish and Chip Nights, a Plough vs The Nuns match, a Family Fun Day, and an Open Gala.
