Lyme Bay Swimming, based in Lyme Regis, Dorset, is led by Malcolm Greenslade, an experienced and dedicated swimming instructor. With over 20 years of coaching experience, Malcolm is highly qualified, holding certifications as a Swim England Open Water Swimming Coach, Swim England Level 2 Aquatics Teacher, and Surf Life Saving GB Surf Lifeguard.

Lyme Bay Swimming offers a wide range of courses, lessons, and adventure swims for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Beginners, novice, and intermediate swimmers can benefit from open water swimming coaching, private swimming groups, and swim safaris. Fitness swimming sessions are available for those looking to improve their endurance and overall fitness. Additionally, Malcolm provides coaching for Masters swimmers, triathletes, juniors, and children, focusing on water confidence, sea safety, swim fitness, technical skills, stroke correction, event and race preparation, and video analysis.

Located on the stunning Jurassic Coast, Lyme Bay Swimming takes advantage of the beautiful surroundings for open water and triathlon swimming. One-on-one coaching and small group swimming courses are held in Lyme Regis, providing the perfect setting for swimmers to improve their skills and enjoy the marine environment. For those in the South West region, Malcolm is also able to arrange coached swimming sessions in local swimming pools, subject to availability.

Supporting the RNLI, Lyme Bay Swimming promotes safety in the water. Malcolm is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all participants. In addition to coaching, the company offers wetsuit rentals and sales to ensure swimmers have the necessary equipment for their open water adventures.

Malcolm Greenslade, the founder of Lyme Bay Swimming, has a deep passion for swimming. He has been involved in competitive swimming since his youth, receiving guidance from exceptional coaches. Over the years, he has transitioned to triathlon events and achieved remarkable performances in open water swims. Malcolm has also participated in Masters and Age Group pool Championships, demonstrating his commitment to swimming excellence.

Beyond his swimming accomplishments, Malcolm has a background in Water Polo, having played both in school and with Bridport Water Polo Club. He shares his love for the water with his children, passing on his knowledge and skills as they became accomplished swimmers themselves.

Outside of swimming, Malcolm is a former three-time British Waterskiing Champion and European bronze medallist. He continues to engage in watersports, including kitesurfing and windsurfing. This diverse experience adds to his understanding of marine conditions and enables him to provide comprehensive guidance to swimmers.

Malcolm is deeply committed to helping individuals of all ages and abilities overcome their apprehensions and experience the joys and benefits of open water swimming. Whether it's guiding nervous adults in the marine environment or working with young swimmers at the local swimming club, Malcolm's approach focuses on motivation and encouragement. Lyme Bay Swimming also extends its coaching services to various Masters groups, preparing them for competition at all levels, including open water events and charity swim challenges such as Channel Solo, Channel Relay, Ultra Swim 33. 3 Montenegro, River Dart 10K, Bantham Swoosh, Burgh Island Swim, Bournemouth Pier to Pier, Exmoor Swim, and Lyme Splash.
