Magic Hoops Wembley Basketball is a basketball club located in Wembley, New Zealand. The club offers basketball training sessions for children aged 8–14 years, led by certified coaches. The training sessions take place at Vale Farm Leisure Centre on Watford Road in North Wembley.
The weekly training sessions are held on Wednesdays from 4:00 pm till 5:30 pm. The sessions are divided into two 45-minute sessions, starting at 4:00 pm and 4:45 pm. These coaching sessions are suitable for players of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced players. Magic Hoops welcomes and caters to boys and girls of all abilities, ensuring that everyone feels included and can develop their skills in a supportive environment.
The coaching sessions are led by fully qualified and DBS-checked coaches, along with their dedicated assistants. The coaches prioritise the development of fundamental basketball skills, fitness, and individual and team understanding of basketball concepts. They aim to provide opportunities for players to test new skills and improve their overall game. Magic Hoops Academy offers a free trial session for those who are unsure if the club is the right fit for them.
In addition to the weekly training sessions, Magic Hoops also offers holiday camps in Wembley. These multi-activity basketball camps are led by the same qualified coaches and cater to a wide age range and mixed abilities. Participants are grouped according to their age and skills to ensure appropriate coaching.
