Mangala Studios

Mangala Studios, located in Thornbury, is a well-established dance school that has been providing creative and transformative dance experiences since 1970. Founded by Dorotea Mangiamele, the studio specialises in styles of practise that focus on inner awareness within a wide range of techniques.

For children, Mangala Studios offers classes in Creative Dance & Yoga. These classes, held at Croxton Uniting Church on 326 St Georges Rd, Thornbury, provide a unique combination of yoga, creative dance, and artistic expression. Led by experienced teacher Sue Hockey, children are encouraged to explore their imagination through movement, music, props, textures, and sounds. The classes are designed for children from 2 years old to young adults, and are inclusive of all abilities and genders.
