About

Mass Hamilton is a cue sports club located in Hamilton, New Zealand. Founded in 1991 as the Waikato Snooker and 8 Ball Club, the club has since expanded to include four additional branches in Hawera, Glen Eden, New Lynn, and Pukekohe. With over 13,000 members, Mass provides a safe and welcoming environment for cue sports enthusiasts across the Waikato, Franklin, Auckland, and South Taranaki regions.

The achievements of Mass members have been phenomenal, with numerous club members winning almost every New Zealand title available. Members have represented both the club and New Zealand overseas and have even played professionally in the UK. Additionally, members have achieved success on the world stage, winning multiple world titles in the sports of snooker and pool.

As the club expanded beyond the Waikato region, a name change was necessary to better reflect the focus on cue sports. Thus, the club adopted the name Mass, which refers to a type of cue stroke where the cue ball is hit off-centre with the cue held almost vertically. Ironically, Mass shots are not allowed on the club's tables due to the potential damage it causes to the table cloth.

Mass Hamilton offers a range of facilities and activities for its members. In addition to cue sports, the club provides recreational equipment and products. These opportunities are not exclusive to club members and are open to the public as well. As the New Zealand distributor and/or dealer for leading cue sports brands such as Riley, Predator, Valley, Poison, McDermott, and Dynamo, Mass ensures that members have access to top-quality equipment.

For those interested in joining Mass Hamilton, membership is available, providing access to a range of benefits and services. The club also hosts various events throughout the year, including the New Zealand Junior 8 Ball Championship and the VNEA Senior 8 Ball League Season 2. Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner, Mass Hamilton welcomes cue sports enthusiasts of all skill levels.
