Now, Mark is leading the charge into phases 2 and 3 with a focus on expanding the playing area. The club recently secured an additional 6 acres of land, aiming to increase sporting opportunities and cut down the need for external facilities. The committee has been in talks with the Church Commission since 2008, and this milestone marks a significant step in their long-term plans.

Transforming the newly acquired land will require notable investments in fencing, drainage, and surface improvements. But Mark is confident that with the help of the community, Mersham Sports Ground will provide excellent facilities for everyone.
