Nascent Wellness, located in Coorparoo and Tarragindi, is the dedicated women's health arm of Articulate Physiotherapy. Under the leadership of Melissa Harris, a Women's Health Physiotherapist, Nascent offers a wide range of services that focus on women's health and wellbeing. These services include Women's Health Physiotherapy appointments, Prenatal or Pregnancy Pilates, Postnatal Pilates, and handover to general physiotherapy and Pilates classes as needed.
At Nascent Wellness, the team believes in a consent-focused approach, ensuring that all women (and those in female-born bodies) feel heard and supported throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey. They are committed to helping women stay healthy and strong, providing the necessary guidance and support to address specific women's health concerns.
The Women's Health Physiotherapy appointments at Nascent Wellness cater to a variety of conditions and concerns, including abdominal separation (diastasis recti), incontinence, pregnancy-related issues, safe exercise during pregnancy, pelvic floor issues, endometriosis, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Melissa and her team are experienced in working with these conditions and are dedicated to providing personalised treatment plans that meet each individual's needs.
In addition to Women's Health Physiotherapy, Nascent Wellness offers Pregnancy Pilates and Postnatal Pilates classes. These classes are designed to help women maintain strength, flexibility, and overall wellness during pregnancy and beyond. The qualified instructors provide expert guidance and support, ensuring a safe and effective workout tailored to each participant's stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery.
Nascent Wellness welcomes women from Annerley, Coorparoo, Camp Hill, Tarragindi, Holland Park, Greenslopes, Stones Corner, Macgregor, Moorooka, Mt Gravatt, Salisbury, and Woolloongabba. They strive to create a supportive community where women can connect with one another, share their experiences, and find the resources they need to navigate their journey through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Nascent Wellness is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all women. They acknowledge and pay their respects to the Traditional Custodians of the land on which they learn, live, and work the Jagera and Turrbal peoples of Meanjin.
