Passionate advocate for Choi Kwang Do and the positive impact it had on the community. She, along with other dedicated individuals, established Norwich Choi Kwang Do as a non-profit club in 1996.
The club's main focus is to provide affordable Martial Arts tuition for adults and heavily subsidised tuition for children in the NELM area. This commitment to accessibility has allowed Norwich Choi Kwang Do to attract a diverse range of students, from beginners to experienced Black Belts.
Under the leadership of Chief Instructors Mr Eric Tuvey and Mr Ian Ramsbottom, along with Head Instructors Miss Klaine Bunn and Miss Kira-Liegh Betts, Norwich Choi Kwang Do has flourished over the years. The club offers regular classes that are almost always at full capacity, catering to various groups such as children, families, adults, and Black Belts.
In 2014, the club also established a dedicated fundraising committee, which works tirelessly to raise additional funds. This has enabled Norwich Choi Kwang Do to expand its reach and offer their rock-bottom prices to a wider area, including all of Norwich and Norfolk.
Norwich Choi Kwang Do also organises special events for its students and their families. One such event is the family fun and games picnic in the park, where attendees can enjoy a day of Choi training and outdoor activities. It encourages a sense of community and provides a platform for students and their families to bond outside regular classes.
As part of their commitment to continuous improvement and growth, Norwich Choi Kwang Do regularly reviews and updates its pricing. Starting from September 1st, there will be a price increase for both existing and new students, with child students being charged 2. 50 per hour and adult students paying 6 for up to 2 hours of training.
