Welcome to Ohau-Ski-Fields, a small family-run resort and tourist attraction nestled in the stunning Lake hau, New Zealand. Owned by Mike and Louise Neilson since the 1980s, we have a deep passion for this beautiful and rugged landscape, and a strong commitment to preserving its unique environment.

Situated between the hau Range to the west and the Ben hau Range to the east, Lake hau offers fine weather and long daylight hours in summer, and reliable snow in winter. While known for its acclaimed Ohau Snow Fields, there is much more to explore in this area. After the ski season, visitors can delve into the wilderness by walking, hiking, or biking up the valley or around the Lodge during the summer months.

Lake hau Lodge provides the perfect base for your adventures. With 72 warm, comfortable, and inviting rooms, it offers a friendly family atmosphere, excellent food, and a fun, casual vibe. Whether you're here to ski, explore nature, or simply relax, the Lodge is the ideal place to stay.

At Lake hau Lodge, we offer five different styles of comfortable accommodation to suit your requirements and budget. The Upper South Temple Wing boasts luxurious double studio rooms with breathtaking views of Mount Cook and Lake hau. These rooms feature stylish dcor, a comfortable queen-size bed, Scandinavian armchairs, and spacious ensuite bathrooms.

The Temple Wing offers spacious studio rooms with stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. These rooms can accommodate couples or families, with a flexible slat bed, single bed, or bunk bed options. Each room has an ensuite bathroom, underfloor heating, and tea/coffee making facilities.

For a more budget-friendly option, the Maitland Wing offers smaller, character rooms. Some rooms in this wing provide stunning views of the lake and mountains. These rooms feature flexible slat beds and shared bathrooms.
