Okinawan Karate and Kobudo Association

Welcome to the Okinawan Karate and Kobudo Association, a vibrant martial arts club based in Fareham, UK. Driven by a passion for traditional Japanese disciplines, we’re all about teaching Goju-Ryu karate and kobudo in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

Sensei Sharon, our head instructor, brings over 25 years of expertise and a warm smile to every session. She’s joined by two senior Sensei (both 2nd Dan and higher) and a fantastic team of assistant and junior instructors. We cater to everyone from age 5 to adults.

Our sessions follow the latest COVID-19 guidelines to keep everyone safe. While sparring and some hand-to-hand techniques are on hold, we’re committed to delivering top-notch training within the rules.

Located at Fareham Academy on St Ann's Road, our club is a cherished part of the community. We’re a small, family-run club and pride ourselves on providing a supportive and fun space for all our members.
