About
Ollie Wright, the dedicated organiser, invites the sports community to experience Ollie Vees Tiki Lounge nestled in the heart of Leighton Buzzard. This unique venue, lovingly run by Ollie and his family, offers much more than just a bar; it’s a vibrant hub that celebrates the rich Polynesian culture and the Tiki phenomenon.
When you step into Ollie Vees Tiki Lounge, you’ll find yourself in a tropical paradise. The bar is adorned with hand-carved Tiki statues, and the walls are decorated with fascinating Polynesian artefacts collected by Ollie and his family. Every detail is thoughtfully designed to offer an authentic Tiki experience.
One of the highlights of Ollie Vees Tiki Lounge is the selection of handcrafted Tiki cocktails, served in creatively designed mugs. If you’re a rum enthusiast, you’ll appreciate their fine collection of rums from around the globe. For those who enjoy a good cigar, there’s an exclusive selection from Cuba.
Entertainment is a key part of Ollie Vees Tiki Lounge. They host regular DJ nights and live music sessions featuring top local bands and DJs who spin only vinyl sets. On the first Tuesday of every month, there’s an open mic comedy night where budding comedians can try out their material. Every Thursday, they offer ukulele lessons for beginners of all ages, and jive and stroll dance lessons to get everyone moving.
Ollie Vees Tiki Lounge is also a proud supporter of local creative talent. They hold an open mic night every Thursday, welcoming performers of all kinds, including spoken word, rap, poetry, music, acting, and dance. To further engage the community, the lounge offers free events such as jumble sales and kids’ ukulele lessons on Saturdays.
Ollie Wright has succeeded in creating an inviting atmosphere at Ollie Vees Tiki Lounge. It’s a place where patrons can enjoy the company of like-minded individuals and soak in the vibrant Polynesian ambiance.
