The One Stop Shop is a community centre, café, and gym located in Bishop Auckland. Run by the Dene Valley Community Partnership, it aims to support the local community by tackling issues like poverty and unemployment and providing recreational facilities.

Since the mid-90s, the One Stop Shop has worked closely with various agencies to support the Dene Valley community. Keep an eye on their Facebook and Twitter pages for regular updates and information.

The centre offers a variety of services. The Cree is a dedicated space where the Mens Cree group meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 1.00pm. Here, members enjoy a range of activities like musical sessions, painting stones, making gift cards, cooking, and learning about healthy eating. They often work with local artists on projects such as the Festival of Lights and invite guest speakers on topics from local history to astronomy. New members are always welcome and can contact the team for more details or to arrange a visit.

Transport services are also on the cards at One Stop Shop. Their community transport company has four minibuses, three of which are wheelchair accessible, each holding up to 16 passengers. The minibuses are regularly serviced and checked every 10 weeks. The drivers are MiDAS trained and DBS checked, ensuring passenger safety and comfort.
