Outside The Cave is a yoga studio located in Mansfield, New Zealand, dedicated to promoting holistic well-being for both individuals and the wider community. The studio aims to spread happiness and well-being by raising awareness about holistic well-being techniques and practises. Supported by The National Lottery Community Fund and National Lottery Awards for All, Outside The Cave is a non-profit organisation that works with people from all walks of life, encouraging them to adopt a more holistic approach to improving their health and well-being.
The OTC team consists of highly experienced and passionate teachers, mentors, and guides who are dedicated to helping individuals and organisations within the community. The studio offers a range of classes and activities suitable for all ages as part of their 'Team Be' initiative, which aims to help people be mindful, active, strong, creative, calm, emotionally resilient, and happy. The programmes, which run for six or nine weeks, allow participants to fully immerse themselves in various activities to discover what suits them best.
Outside The Cave believes in the importance of the connexion between physical, emotional, and spiritual health. They recognise that well-being can only be achieved by addressing these areas equally. The studio fosters a close relationship with the natural world and emphasises the emotional and physical benefits of connecting the inner and outer environments. They have a therapy garden supported by The National Lottery Awards for All grant, providing an opportunity for participants to experience the healing benefits of nature.
Clients can book their sessions by emailing Outside The Cave and specifying their preferred date and time. The studio also provides home yoga classes, events, workshops for schools and youth, as well as one-on-one coaching. Additionally, they offer yoga teacher training, providing individuals with the skills and knowledge to become certified yoga teachers.
Outside The Cave also hosts community events and classes, including their 50+ Friendship Group, which aims to bring people together for fun, friendship, activities, and more. They offer various yoga classes suitable for beginners, including yoga for weight loss and Yin/Yang yoga infusion sessions. The studio also provides mindfulness workshops as part of their 'Team Be' programme to help individuals combat excessive thinking, negativity, and stress.
The mindfulness workshops aim to teach participants the skills needed to feel calmer, happier, clearer, more connected, and grateful. Mindfulness has been proven to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and worry, among many other emotional and physical benefits. Outside The Cave offers a six-week course on self-love, empowering individuals to prioritise their own well-being.
