My coaching ethos is to keep it simple. I believe that golf is a game that should be enjoyable, and learning it should also be enjoyable. I aim to make the learning process fun and engaging, so that my students can truly enjoy their journey towards improvement.
Whether it's a one-to-one lesson or a group coaching session, I ensure that my students feel comfortable and at ease. I understand that golf can be intimidating for beginners, so I make sure to create a welcoming and supportive environment. I have a patient and understanding approach, and I take the time to explain concepts and techniques in a clear and concise manner.
As a golf professional with over 25 years of experience, I have coached golfers of all levels of experience and ability. I have taught both in Scotland and overseas in Holland. I have had the privilege of coaching individuals at various stages of their golfing journey, from absolute beginners to seasoned players looking to fine-tune their skills.
In addition to one-to-one and group coaching sessions, I also offer golf improvement plans. These plans combine on-course coaching and driving range coaching to ensure well-rounded improvement. I work closely with my students to set realistic goals and design a personalised plan that fits their schedule and availability. I am committed to helping my students achieve their goals, and I offer a guarantee that if they don't reach their goal within the agreed timeframe, I will continue coaching them for free until they do.
Outside of coaching, I am a proud husband and father. I enjoy spending time with my family and playing golf whenever I get the chance. My favourite club is the Sand Wedge, and my favourite course is Royal Dornoch. I believe in the importance of learning how to play the game, not just how to swing, and I strive to instil this mindset in all my students.
