Positive Dance Experience

Positive Dance Experience (PDE) is Central Toronto's boutique dance and performing arts studio that aims to connect authentically with its dance community, accept all dancers, support fostering new relationships, and inspire new passions and interests. Located in North York, Ontario, PDE offers a variety of dance classes for toddlers, kids, and adults. The studio's schedule is filled with fun and engaging classes, including ballet, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and more.

At PDE, dance classes are based on an elite curriculum structure that includes the ADAPT, Acrobatic Arts, and Alixa Flexibility syllabi repertoires. The studio offers a range of programs, including Hip Hop, Acro Dance, Ballet, and Contemporary dance. In the Hip Hop program, dancers will explore street and social dance forms such as breaking, footwork, house, and waving, while also learning about the history of hip hop. Acro Dance classes focus on acrobatics training, tricks, and balancing skills, following the Acrobatic Arts syllabi.

For those interested in ballet, PDE promotes a safe, healthy, and body-positive approach to this classical dance form, focusing on technique, musicality, precision, flexibility, and strength. Contemporary dance classes at PDE allow dancers to connect with their full body through elements of modern dance, floor work, improvisation, composition/choreography skills, and more.
