Power House Men's Football Club is excited to welcome players of all skill levels and experience to join them for the 2024 season. After a challenging 2023 season, where the team finished 5th due to injuries, they are determined to bounce back and improve their fitness and resilience. Their goal for this season is to make it to the finals, and they are committed to putting in the hard work to achieve it.
To help the players reach their full potential, the football club has brought on board an experienced strength and conditioning coach. This coach will develop individual conditioning programs for each player, ensuring that they are able to improve their fitness and be at their best on the field. It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned player or just starting out, if you're 16 years or older, Power House Men's Football club is inviting you to be a part of their proud club history.
The training program is designed to enhance players' skills, fitness, and football knowledge. The pre-season training will include a combination of conditioning exercises, skills development drills, and game sense training. This will enable the players to execute the game plan effectively right from the first round. The coaches are dedicated to providing individual support to each player, ensuring that they have the opportunity to improve their football skills and knowledge.
The senior Men's coach, Jeff Scotland, brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the team. With his strong background in successful A Grade teams and coaching at various levels, including U19s, seniors, and representative teams, Jeff is focused on deepening players' understanding of the game. He believes that by improving their understanding of the game, the team's overall success will be enhanced.
The pre-season training sessions will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, with optional additional sessions on Saturdays. After Christmas, the training will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, starting on Tuesday, January 30. The official start date for the season is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to be around mid-April.
