QYoga

QYoga, located in Kelvin Grove, is a unique and inviting yoga studio that offers a variety of classes tailored to suit the needs of all individuals. With a tranquil and lush rainforest setting, QYoga provides a secluded and private gully that creates a peaceful and serene atmosphere for students to practise yoga.

Led by Trevor, an experienced and knowledgeable instructor, QYoga offers classes that are designed to cater to individuals of all levels, from beginners to advanced yogis. Trevor's integrated approach to yoga combines elements from four main styles: Iyengar Yoga, Astanga Yoga, Oki Do Yoga, and Bio-energetics. This fusion of styles allows for a comprehensive and diverse yoga experience, promoting strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.

In Iyengar Yoga, attention to detail and precise alignment are emphasised, creating a safe and structured environment for students to explore their practise. Astanga Yoga, also known as Power Yoga, offers reliable sequences of postures that have been tried and tested for thousands of years. Oki Do Yoga, a Japanese style of yoga, incorporates East-Asian philosophy and includes partner stretches and massage techniques for stress relief and overall health. Additionally, bio-energetics exercises are integrated into classes to energise, calm, and integrate the body, mind, and spirit.

At QYoga, every class is a surprise as Trevor ensures that each student gets exactly what they need. Similar to a chef at a restaurant, Trevor crafts each class to satisfy and delight, leaving students feeling rejuvenated and fulfilled. Classes are held twice a week, with a men's class on Thursday evenings and an open class on Mondays, welcoming individuals of all genders.

Apart from the exceptional yoga experience offered at QYoga, the studio boasts a stunning rainforest backdrop that adds to the overall tranquilly. As the sun sets through the trees on Thursday evenings, students can stretch away the tensions of the week and immerse themselves in the natural beauty surrounding them. After class, many students enjoy a relaxed dinner together, fostering connexion and community in a grounded and present state.

QYoga also offers a range of tops for purchase, including three new styles: Rainbow, black, and plain light green. These tops, available for $30, allow students to showcase their QYoga pride while practising yoga.
